Licensing & Insurance

We are licensed for private hire operations by Hastings Borough Council. Our vehicles have been awarded exemption certificates, which allow us to operate them without displaying unsightly signage, due to the nature of our work and the expectations of our clients. The private hire plate and exemption certificate will be stowed in the vehicle and is available for presentation upon request.

Drivers hold a hackney driving licence issued by HBC and will have this on their person, available for presentation upon request however as part of the exemption mentioned above, they are not required to have it immediately displayed.

We are insured for the carriage of passengers and goods for hire and reward purposes. This includes  £1m public liability cover. Our policy is available for presentation upon request and will be stowed in the vehicles.

We are covered for roadside assistance, recovery and onward travel; so in the unlikely event of a breakdown, we guarantee the appropriate assistance and if necessary, onward travel to your destination.

As part of the hackney and private hire licence application  process, drivers undergo a thorough criminal record check by the Disclosure Barring Service.
